Difficulties finding parking in Leuven? This app offers the solution!

Thanks to Park in Leuven you always know which Leuven parking garages are close to your neighborhood. Via a list or a folder you will receive an overview of these parking garages, together with the route distance to these car parks and their hourly price. From this list/folder you can select a parking to get more information about this parking (opening hours, maximum height, maximum parking time, detailed price table, ...) or to navigate to this parking via the GPS. Once arrived at the parking you can indicate on which floor and in which block your car is. This way you will find your car easily later.

You can also find out from home which parking garages are close to your destination. All you have to do is select your desired street in the overview. Park in Leuven does the rest.

This app is being developed by myself in the context of my Master Thesis at the Faculty of Engineering at the KU Leuven. My promoter is Prof. Dr. Erik Duval and my supervisor Dr. Joris Klerkx. There is also cooperation with the city of Leuven. The app is not yet completely ready and there can still be errors, for which my apologies.

The use of this app is free. After making use of the application a few times, I do ask your (one -off) cooperation in my thesis research. For this you need to fill in a 20 multiple choice questions (max. 10 min). I don't ask more.

Known problems/limitations:

- Google Navigation is in test version. In concrete terms, this means that Google Navigation is unpredictable and that it can crash.

- Maximum 190 route distances (for all parking garages separately) can be calculated per day.

- Navigation to Parking De Bond is not terminated as the underground entrance is not visible to the GPS.

- Bug in 'Search by address' solved: the route distance was displayed instead of the walking distance.
