CrossCheck is the sign of dangerous pedestrian crossings.
CrossCheck is an application from the street victim Foundation Roadcross and serves to report dangerous pedestrian strips.
Whether as a pedestrian, car, motorcycle or cyclist- you can use CrossCheck to improve security on Swiss roads. Anonymously report pedestrian strips that seem dangerous to you in terms of lighting, placement, access, length or the behavior of road users.
The Swiss road network has around 45,000 pedestrian strips. Their extensive review takes years. A period in which many road users are damaged due to dangerous pedestrian strips. Experts agree that around half of the Swiss pedestrian strips do not meet the prescribed standards.
The aim is therefore to support CrossCheck in the identification of dangerous pedestrian strips. Information on pedestrian strips reported via “ CrossCheck ” can be made available anonymously the municipalities and cantons responsible for the safety of the reported pedestrian strip.
Your help enables you to identify dangerous pedestrian strips at an early stage and thus prevent severe or even fatal accidents. Because as road users, they experience every day, where, how and under what circumstances dangers arise.
We would like to thank you for your help.
